"Gachatail"
What happens when you mix squirrels and trading cards? Created using original photography and vector illustration, this first series of original cards combines my love for nature and minimalist design- and a hint of gambling. The "gatcha" part of the title is a play on words, referencing both Japanese vending machines (gashapon) due to the chanced based nature of card rarities, as well as the line's tagline "squirrel gatcha tail?" With source images selected from my personal collection of hundreds of squirrel photographs, I underwent several drafts to ensure the linework felt clean and readable, while not becoming overly complicated or losing a sense of playfulness.

"One & Only Crewneck"
Inspired by the LOONA (이달의 소녀) "One & Only" music video (directed by Seong Won-mo and Moon Seok-ho of Digipedi, as well as Lee Moon-young), this design visualizes how I would approach developing merchandise that encapsulates the art direction of the video as well as a contextualization the group's overall branding.

"Designated Designers Poster"
As the President of the graphic design club at my school, I created various assets for club visibility. While there was an old logo and poster, I had the goal of developing a more modern and illustrative composition, set to fit different sizes and formats.

"Southern Arkansas University Poster"
This unofficial poster highlights the school's main colors, while also drawing focus to the bell tower, representing the heart of the campus itself. Utilizing the negative space of the self taken photo and grids of text, I drew inspiration from select aspects of design trends from the early 2000s with a touch of modernity.

"Passant du Ciel Blue"
Derived from lines of the poem "Apparition" by Victor Marie Hugo, the text roughly translates to "Oh passenger of the blye sky, "Are you death?" I said to him, "Or are you life?" Through long exposure and lightpainting, as well as inverted, stark color blending and slight photomoshing, I aimed for the poster to have both an ethereal, otherworldly atmosphere, and an unnerving dissonance to capture the shock and confusion felt within Marie's writing.

"Gotham Magazine"
As a celebration of the creation of Tobias Frere-Jones' Gotham font, I developed a magazine spread showcasing both Gotham's history and application- both on screen and its application out in the world around us. Intermixing real imagery and stylized modern vector illustration, the spread tows the line between playful and professional.
